Our gentle and restorative approach helps you ease into movement and relaxation, regardless of your experience.
2. What type of yoga is practiced in Yogassage?
Yogassage combines elements of Yin, Restorative, and Slow Vinyasa yoga. The class is designed to allow you to move at your own pace, with plenty of time to breathe and settle into each pose. You’ll experience deep stretching, restorative postures, and soothing flows that nurture both your body and mind.
3. How long is each Yogassage class?
Each session is 100 minutes long. During this time, you’ll experience a combination of yoga, deep stretching, and one-on-one massage and one-on-one reiki healing that is integrated into the class to support relaxation and nervous system regulation.
4. Do I need any prior experience in yoga or massage?
No experience is needed! Whether you're completely new to yoga or have been practicing for years, Yogassage is designed to meet you where you are. No massage experience is needed either....this is about allowing your body to receive the healing touch while you practice.
5. Can I attend a class if I have injuries or chronic pain?
Yes! Yogassage is especially beneficial for people with chronic pain, injuries, or those recovering from physical stress. The focus on gentle movement, healing energy, and personalized touch during the class will help you feel supported and improve mobility. However, if you have any concerns about specific injuries, it’s always best to check with your healthcare provider before attending.
6. What should I bring to class?
Just bring your mat and a comfortable, breathable outfit that allows you to move freely. Props such as blocks, straps, and blankets will be provided. If you prefer, feel free to bring your own props for extra comfort!
7. Is there any special equipment required for the massage portion?
No special equipment is required! The massage is integrated seamlessly into the yoga practice to support relaxation.
8. How is the class structured?
Each class follows a gentle flow, incorporating Yin and Restorative poses with slow-paced Vinyasa sequences. You’ll spend time in each pose, allowing deep release and healing. Throughout the class, you’ll receive personalized one-on-one massage & reiki healing to help further release tension and deepen your experience.
9. How often should I attend?
While one class per month is recommended, you’re welcome to attend as often as you’d like! Consistency is key to seeing the full benefits, and many students find that attending more helps maintain a steady flow of healing energy.
